Poinsettia

These plants really remind me of Christmas. All the supermarkets sell them around this time.

I wondered why they were associated with Christmas - the myth goes that their flower represents the star of Bethlehem which was meant to guide the wise men to the manger.

I'm sure there's other myths out there - no matter, they are still very cool wee plants!
