New season...
...asparagus is now available from the farm down the road. We both adore asparagus, and the season is short (I refuse to buy asparagus that's been flown in from Peru - I may not be an eco-warrior, but I draw the line at that) so while it's available we make the most of it! Tonight's offering was griddled bacon, boiled eggs from the farm a couple of miles down the other road, steamed asparagus and black pepper mayonnaise. Nomnomnom... (but I sneaked this blip before the spears went onto the steamer!)
