Dad (Coach) and Son (Player)

It was a cold windy night at the ball field. Merrick's mom and grandma were bundled up like it was mid-December.

Merrick's dad Doug (Dougie-D) is one of his coaches. He does a nice job with the boys...always encouraging.

In breaking down the trio of pictures, there is both good and bad. On the left, Doug is congratulating Merrick on a hard hit single. In the middle, he is telling him to take a nice full swing. Both good, but...on to the picture on the right.

It is never good when our team is told to "take a knee." That means that one of our players is hurt. We had two "take-a-knees" tonight, with one kid taking a ball in the back of the head (thrown by our own player), and another taking a throw right in the face. OUCH!

Hopefully, our Wednesday game will go a little smoother.
