Stenner Woods

Eerie. This is 'Willow Carr' woodland - much of it submerged in water - hence the duck boards. With all the rain of recent days I think the water was higher than usual today. The River Mersey is a few hundred yards from this point and that was looking quite swollen.
We had a nice wintry walk with John's Mum- freshly arrived from Yorkshire for the Christmas festivities.
