AGM
The fresh battery in the bike works a treat. It’s a beautiful ride in - hardly any traffic.
After work, a bunch of us sit outside at the Barrel House, wrapping up the day. I put away two glasses of water.
I get home around 7, eat, and then realise I should be at the Peeblesshire Federation of Village Halls AGM. When I get to Newlands, I find a group of around 20 (mainly grey-hairs) in the committee room. I pick up the tail end of a long discussion about the new council funding model. To summarise: we’re not happy.
The meeting ends. I chat with Margaret and then John, while snaffling a couple of chocolate biscuits. At home there are chickens to corral - the layers are very unwelcoming to the new chicks.
