Some history this morning...
This stone commemorates the landing of the first commando after the German Occupation of Guernsey. Hubert Nicolle, a local, on 8 July 1940.
But this was also the meeting point for a cliff walk with a visit to a Loophole Tower which is being renovated by volunteers. So a much older piece of history.
A very enjoyable morning!
