One bold cygnet...

...with its siblings. There often seems to be a cygnet who goes further from its parents and siblings from the beginning, so maybe this one is the bold cygnet this year at Craiglockhart Pond. I had seen from Facebook that the cygnets had hatched so went after work today to do some oohing and aahing. One cygnet was in the water with its mother when I arrived so I expect it was this one, but I have to say that I couldn't be certain. I was very impressed when I saw that last year's cygnets all had names, but how you tell them apart would be quite beyond me.
