Canal
Well what a surprise another canal photo!
Another beautiful day, not quite so sunny but still as warm.
A bit of a scare today when the laptop wouldn't start up reminding me that I really need to back up my photos onto an external drive.
I'm looking forward to the 26th Rickmansworth Festival which is on this coming weekend on the 18th and 19th.
It takes place every year and celebrates canals, the diverse community that works and lives on the canals and the environment. It is held at Batchworth Lock and Rickmansworth Aquadrome and has boats from all over the UK.
There are two days of live music and entertainment as well as many trade stalls and conservation groups present. Some of the entertainment includes a canal barge tug of war, dance groups, lots of speakers, environmentalists and talks, discussion groups and presentations and also a funfair, lots of alcohol and food. Also, a look at the latest barges and technology.
It's going to be very hippy, which is just perfect!
In extras you will see a photo of a wide berth barge I walked past which is state of the art and almost self sufficient. hybrid engine, solar powered, triple glazed, wi-fi, satellite everything and it even has a cat flap if you look closely. More and more people seem to be either choosing or being forced into this lifestyle.
Anyway, I've waffled on a bit too much.
I hope your all having a great day everyone. Take care.
Clive
