Missy's Wainwrights
Missy and I have decided it'd be fun to do the Wainwright's together. I've done them once as a thing over three months, and probably at least once more (many literally dozens of times) working. But I've never done them all with such a fun companion.
Today we had a different plan but a really stupid car fault* meant a change. As it was sooooo hot, and all this is new for Missy, I made a careful plan to include lots and lots of water, not just drinks but swims and paddling (main). From a blipping point of view the light was incredible (extra). From a feeding the soul point of view we saw just enough people to be sociable, but took obtuse routes to the summits to enjoy some solitude (extra2).
Today's beginning haul was:
Pavey Ark, Thunacar Knott, Harrison Stickle, Pike of Stickle and Loft Crag.
*with a simple change a bulb and fuse job a main dealer mechanic decided to rearrange some fuse connections to 'tidy things up' - without checking what those connections did. Resulting in parking sensors wired to a permanent live. Battery dead and destroyed.
I think I was very restrained in my explanation of just how they were to put it right.
