Photographic Poeticisms

By TerryRhiannyr

Light from the dark

As I step forth
I see
The distant light
I feel
Lifted
From bowed shoulders
The weight,
Of the loneliness
That draped itself like a steeled cape,
Fall away
To lie
Discarded
By the path
That is forgiveness
That leads
To home
To family
To friends
The path
That wraps itself
Around the longing for reconciliation
Like a blanket
Soothing and comforting
Carrying feet easily
And steadily onwards
From the darkness
To the light
From obscurity
To home

I am returned
