Monastery of Varlaam

Much better weather than we feared, the setting of these monasteries is stunning. We walked up to this one from the car park, really quite manageable and there is a great view at the top. The wall paintings in the Catholicon are striking, but no photos allowed - which makes a lot sense, with the need to keep groups moving through.
