Little Blue Eyes: After the Kerfuffle

It had been too long since I'd visited the little blue-eyed beauty, so I stopped at the PSU horse barns for a few minutes in the sun. There were two pairs of horses in the enclosure: a mom and a little colt, and Little Blue Eyes and her palomino mom.

The moms were otherwise occupied, eating with gusto. But the two little horses engaged for a few moments. First was the approach. Then Little Blue Eyes stood up on her hind legs, and the other fellow did too, and there was just a moment of hoof-waving, before they parted and returned to their respective corners.

You can still see a bit of posturing in this photo. (Blue Eyes is the one on the right.) Check out the ears, which are slightly laid back. I was glad to see that it didn't amount to much. I guess the summary of the event is this: Little Blue Eyes got into a kerfuffle with another little fellow on the playground, but it ended rather amicably.
