Chriss

By Chriss

Twas the night before Christmas

When all through Blipfoto
Everyone had been taking photos with great gusto
The camera bags were hung by the chimney with care
In the hopes that St Nicholas would fill them with brand new camera gear
The photographers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of nicely composed photos danced in their heads.
And mamma with her Canon & I with my Sony
Had just settled down to talk about taking photos of the neighbour's pony
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Grabbing my camera I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But the best photo opportunity that I had had all year........
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles I set up the camera equipment
Adjusted the white balance & started clicking with abandonment
