Down Testwood way

The Testwood Lakes have been a popular spot this week with a combination of sunshine, the promise of warmer days ahead, and the beauty of the lakes.
Maybe they were originally manmade, but they have matured well over the years and form one of the most significant wildlife reserves in southern Hampshire.
The paths around the lakes are a favourite for dog walkers, wildlife fans . . . Or like me simply for daily exercise. While the lakes themselves form an important reservoir for fresh water supplies to much of the western side of Southampton, this particular lake is also home to Eling Sea Scouts and is a Royak Yachting Assiciation Sailability centre.
