Meet my Nemesis

Everyone knows how much I hate seeing trees cut down.

But today my job was to photograph mossland restoration, which included the clearance of 300 mature birch trees on a nature reserve. All very necessary but sad nonetheless.

The Predator. That's the big machine here. It can turn a whole, mature tree with a trunk of 18 inches diameter into woodchips in 20 seconds!
