Chess

I was asked by my mother what I wanted for my 21st Birthday (almost 9 years ago!). I am a slightly diverse person, and decided that I wanted a Wood Lathe.
Mated with some very nice knives my father bought me, I made my 1st chess piece.
The wood was collected from the back garden after a fun time with the chainsaw. It had not fully dried as it should have been, however that's given it plenty of character.
Sadly, no more pieces have been made but this piece sits in my lounge and is always nice to view.
