Pandemic Legacy, Season 1. August (2nd attempt)

For this second game in August we were all present (probably due to the Tilquin Mure & the 3.1l Oud Beersel Kriekenlambiek). Tarek played the Operations Expert, Hannes the Soldier, Leander the Dispatcher, Kobe the Medic and me the Quarantine Specialist.
Because we started this game with only 2 Faded cities infected we had some time to get into the game without having to fix the Faded problem right away.
As we got mostly black cards in the infection deck, but also in the player deck, we quickly cured the black disease and removed it from the board. The red disease took a bit longer to cure, but did not really form a problem. The problems started when we had cured the red disease. the player deck was almost empty, so we had to move very fast to cure the blue disease and put 7 quarantine markers on faded cities. We managed this by focusing on getting enough blue cards (the easiest disease to cure for us) to Leander, while putting out as much quarantine markers on faded cities as possible (redundancy), using funded and unfunded events to gain every advantage possible (no infect cities step, extra actions...), and letting as much people as possible skip a turn so as to get to Leander with enough player cards in the deck.
It came very close (2 cards left), it's never been so close, which was very gratifying, but we managed it without to much problems and some quick thinking. I think we had only 3 or 4 outbreaks this game, which is not a lot.
The last Epidemic card was the last card in the player deck, so it was not played (which helped), thanks to the excellent dealer (no thanks if everything goes good, but you get all the crap if the cards come up wrong isn't it Leander?).
Conclusion : with 5 players we have more fun, and the game becomes a little bit easier to play : more cards in the game, more characters, more options.
Can't wait to play September.
We started a year ago, and probably will be playing this game till the end of the year.
