A wonderful atmosphere in the forum this morning. An annual exhibition : "dedicated to the art of the book", which draws in all sorts of fascinating people : artists, printers, book binders. I only looked at a small part, with a promise to myself to call in again tomorrow. I then got immersed in the library : I was returning a film Obama the final year, a documentary of the final year of his foreign policy, which I can recommend to anyone depressed by the current political madness gripping the world.  Happenstance led me to " To Obama A peoples history " , a beautifully written account of the letters Obama received daily and replied to.
