Green Crested Lizard
Bronchocela cristatella
I actually had eleven shots to choose from seven subjects, the most that I have had in a long time. The wet season seems to be a period of slim pickings at this location, because I do not remember the same problems last year.
Bumped into an old favorite of mine, the green crested lizard and was an easy choice for the blip spot. This one is probably a female, as the male has a much larger crest for showing off.
These lizards are a blippers delight, wonderful colors, fascinating, exotic and they don't move. I could not resist the temptation to touch, at which point, she leapt into the air and vanished into the bushy undergrowth, dragging two feet of whippy tail behind her.
A good blipday.
