Sunshine

There was sunshine at lunchtime - this was when I went to buy lunch from the canteen, as I'd not got much in the way of leftovers from the weekend. As a Friday, the option was fish & chips, but here we are offered two types of fish, because those from fishing families don't eat cod. Apparently its because they are a 'bottom feeder' fish, which is considered unclean. Fascinating to hear local views on things like this.

It was a sad day for us as one of our most junior staff, who started three years ago as an apprentice, was leaving. She is going on to a better job in a different department. Its great for her career, but sad for us. Time to look for a new apprentice.
