Boathouse

We finished our workshop with John Gravett yesterday, and our plan was to drive through to a Himalayan Garden and Sculpture park near Ripon.  Unfortunately, there was an accident on the M6 which closed it, causing traffic chaos.  We abandoned that idea, and drove down to Pooley Bridge on Ullswater, photographing this boathouse on the way.  I quite like the people on the Jetty, I think they add a human element to the image.

From there we went through to Lowther Castle and Gardens to see the ruin and get some afternoon tea, complete with cake.

We also stopped at the Devil's Bridge at Kirkby Lonsdale before having dinner at the Brewer's Fayre near Gargrave.

Home and a Game of Thrones rounded the day off nicely.  We're a bit shellshocked though - one episode left!
