Goosed in Broadbottom
Christmas shopping is on-track with no glaring omissions or oversights (well based on that known at the time of writing at least).
The gout and pickled kidneys are basically coming along very nicely, as this is Day 2 of our Christmas run-up. It shows our Saturday night staying-over in Broadbottom near Glossop with our long-time drinking buddies Paula and Keith. Paula had decided to cook up a Goose with some date and red wine sauce, and it was well worth waiting for and delicious. From the look of it, I think Paula was happy with her Goose.
Friday night, we had also had a fabulous pre-christmas dinner over with Malcolm and Shona and sailing friends in Knutsford (Pheasant au vin this time).
My write up is a tardy back-blip uploaded on Christmas Eve. My excuse is not too much Christmas Cheer, though clearly there has already been plenty of that, but mainly just non-existent 3G signal over on the edge of the Peak District, followed by a full day on-the-road visiting my mum due on Sunday.
I am way behind as usual, but Christmas Eve is my planned catch-up day. Looking forward to seeing what mischief everyone is up to!
