2019 Monday — Bird of Paradise

As we were slowly rolling away from our lavender coastal house at 7:30 on this first weekday morning, I caught the photo of the foliage. I rarely take photos of the Bird of Paradise plant. They always remind me of my Grammie Teele.

When I was a little girl, she would remark about their beauty whenever we would see one. I always thought they looked very pointed, sharp, and vicious. Now when I see them, I realize the beauty Grammie was admiring.

Hour hours later we were back in SoCal,
