Shades of the 1930s

Over the last year I have been gently embroidering these blocks and yesterday, finished the final stage of the quilt by applying the binding and hand stitching it into place.
A dull day here as autumn draws to a close but the stone wall that edges part of the garden proved an adequate support to show it off.
