Tales from the riverbank

A couple of years ago, this house was built down by the riverbank, we always wondered how close to the house the river would get when it burst it's banks.
As you can see, pretty darn close. at the moment it appears to be safe, after the worst rain fasl i can ever remember.
But, wait; the water still has to dome down from the hills.
oops.
We shall wait and see if it's raised defences will hold.
