Pike and sword fighting

Before starting a bit of work in the garden I went for a walk around the village for a blip.  When I got to the castle The House of Blackstar, a medieval living history group were there.  They are based at  the castle so are regulars demonstrating that way of life.  

Some were demonstrating life at home and others demonstrating weapons.  The man with the pike was teaching the younger one how to fight with a sword and he looked as though he was greatly enjoying it.

I've got a little wildlife area at the bottom of my garden near the pond and this afternoon have been planting some wild flowers that I bought.  Hopefully they'll help to attract the butterflies, bees and other insects.
