The Old Reading Rooms, Allonby

My Wife and I had a walk along the cycle/footpath at Allonby, I took this shot of the old reading rooms, which have been changed into a residence. It was in a neglected state for decades until this transformation. For those who do not know,  the reading rooms were used by the men of the village who went to catch up on the news and generally passed the time away. Allonby was a Quaker Village and it is believed that there were no bars, hence the reason for the reading rooms.
