Coffee Angel

We spent the morning collecting pre-ordered meat from the butchers, buying marzipan from Tesco and then going for a sit-down in Coffee Angel. There's a quotation printed on the wall there that reads: "Take time to see the wonders of the world, to see the things you've only heard of, dream life the way you think it ought to be, see things you'd never see." And sometimes you feel like taking a felt tip pen and writing underneath it: "Aye, or you could just decide to have children instead." But now, a few hours later, it's the night before Christmas and you wonder how on earth that plays itself out unless you have children.
