Hello I'm Here!

Huge drama here on a lake in Rutland as baby fell off mum's back into the water! A lot of tweeting though she seemed to be letting her offspring find out the hard way and didn't seem too bothered. The little one here was again wanting attention as you can see but mum just kept up a steady pace paddling.  One presupposes that dad will come and feed both shortly!

I've never seen a grebe with babies only in photographs so I was really chuffed when after following it with the lens for some time, a little head popped up out of the feathers!
