Watercress festival
I was looking for a farmers market to visit but couldn’t find one but I did find that the yearly watercress festival in Alresford was being held today. They suggested a park and ride, where the ride was on a steam train on the Watercress Line. Not too far from Josh, they met us there along with Rebecca & Mo.
Alresford is known as the capital of watercress and is quite a pretty market town. Full of stalls (and people) selling goods and delicious foods. We had a lovely wander around first stopping at a little tea room for refreshments then a good stroll around the market stalls before we all bought different things to eat. Mine was a freshly cooked flatbread with halloumi cheese, hummus, falafel and another dip...delicious. We carried on our walk reaching a little garden centre for another drink break. Another stroll before catching the train back to our cars. A lovely unplanned day.
