Tulip Fever

Went to the launch of the 'Astor Pucturehouse' this evening, which means that the Astor Theatre will be showing films on a more regular basis!

The launch film was Tulip Fever, based on the book written by Deborah Moggach. She is on the right in this photo, as she did a question and answer session after the film, which was really interesting. The lady interviewing her is her daughter-in-law.

The film was pretty good, though Deborah was a bit scathing about some of the casting, the direction and the script - and she was right to be, as her suggestions would have made for a better film. It was enjoyable all the same.
