Oh Danny Bhoyker

We were off to see Danny Baker at the Queen's Hall tonight which was a Christmas present last year. He's written a number of books about his life which Mrs C has enjoyed and we all enjoyed the TV comedy series of his early family years, Cradle To Grave a year or so ago.

He came out early to apologise for all the controversy he caused in recent weeks as he has admitted many times his mistake and subsequent dealing with the initial media reports. We had thought about the upcoming show at the time but decided to still go on the basis that we believed his explanation.

With that out the way, he recounted story after story at breakneck speed over 3.5 hours (25 mins interval) of his life from early 1970s-1988, his previous tour did his early years. This part of the show was regarding his 1980s interview with Michael Jackson and the irony of having to cut down that chat due to the other recent scandal.

It was a fascinating and funny evening, almost every step in his career has been by chance or being in the right place at the right time. Oh to have just 1% of stories he can tell... I think there could be several more tours of this. Cradle to Grave series 2 also appears to be on the way now he has more free time!
