Tagasode

Apparently Tagasode was a celebrated courtesan (prostitute) at Tamaya teahouse (brothel) in Yoshiwara. This by Kikukawa Eizan (c1807) was one of many Japanese woodblock prints on display at the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, which has a huge collection. They've had two themed exhibitions to showcase them already this year and another starting soon.
