Merry Christmas...

The rain has poured again, but the kitchen's been cosy and full of tempting smells. Home-made stock...chestnut stuffing....sausage rolls....pecan pie... cranberry, pistachio and clementine roulade....beef, chestnut and guinness casserole. The bird feeders have been busy all day - I've never seen so many blue tits and we seem to have a young male house sparrow visiting - a real rarity in our garden! The presents are wrapped, the candles have been lit and we're just about to sit down to supper. Christmas is here...
