This evening there have been thunder and lightning with torrential rain and hail showers with the huge hailstones bouncing about thirty centimetres off the ground.  There were also some spectacular rainbows but I was usually too late to get my camera. I liked the effect of the sunlight on the far side of the field and on the pylons although the rainbow was fading.  In the extra just before the sun was setting it cast a golden light on the top of the trees and produced a rainbow high in the sky.
