Mystery Lady
BIGGER BANNER
Another day when I thought I had a blip and was wrong!
This morning I drove to the other side of the village to collect my turkey. As I passed over the upper section of the River Yare (which rises just 2 miles away in a field, but is better known in it's lower reaches as one of the main rivers of the famous Norfolk Broads) I noticed how high it is from all the rain we've had. So en route back I stopped for this shot of it from the bridge, as it runs through the grounds of the former station house. This was to be my original blip.
I then noticed that the railway gates were closed. Each Christmas period the Mid-Norfolk Railway Society runs a Christmas service aimed at the kiddies with mince pies served, fully decorated carriages and even Santa on board. So I waited a few minutes and grabbed a pic of the Santa Special as it passed through (I'd hoped it may be one of the steam trains they sometimes run, sadly not).
Then it was off to town for a hair appointment. On leaving the car park at the hairdresser's place, as I turned onto the road I espied this banner hanging from the A47 overpass. I'd love to know who Bex is - she must be pretty special to incite a guy to go to this extreme! It's not something one sees often, if at all - it just HAD to be my blip!
I hope all in Blipland (and outside of it) have an enjoyable and terrific Christmas. xx
