A kiwi batch or crib

Exploring further today. Lake Clearwater is remote, in the mountains inland from Ashburton. No power, no sewage. Evidence of generators, long drop toilets, old outside meatsafe, no fences. I bet it is a great adventure place in the summer but there's no one here today even though there are many batches.

The extra shows a small group of batches on the lakeside. There are many batches here. Surprising!
