Rod Stewart

The oldest daughter bought us tickets as a Christmas present for Rod Stewart's first concert of his current UK tour, which was at Ashton Gate (Bristol City football ground).

Prior to entry we met up with a couple we met on our South Africa game drive in January for a drink. Their daughter, with them, had also bought them tickets for Christmas!

Rod started at 8.30pm as the sun was setting over the stadium (see extra) and I also liked the light display after his 2 hour performance (extra)

By the time we'd got out, returned to the car, travelled extra as they'd decided to close the Severn Bridge, it was gone middnight before we got home. A lovely present that we both enjoyed though!
