Hooded Merganser On Christmas Eve

Lots of activity at the pond today...missed the Cooper's Hawk sitting right in front of me in the tree (too obvious, I guess:)!!!

Loved this Hooded Merganser that graced the pond at sunrise...I thought the reflective quality of the water almost looked like snow....just seemed like the shot for Christmas Eve.

We are heading to our friends home tonight to celebrate with their family....always such a fun time. Lots of singing and warmth...I'll post some photos tomorrow on Flickr! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY BLIP FRIENDS!!!
