Dragonflies
We rode up to Jerry's hunting camp to check on some trees he planted that were suffering due to lack of rain. (I told him he should have planted the trees in the fall but what do I know!) He used his tractor bucket to dump lots of water on each tree. They are persimmon trees that he is trying to grow to attract the deer as they supposedly love persimmons!
Anyway, I walked down to his little pond in the 100F heat because I knew there would be dragonflies. Nothing else around but there were dragons. I was really watching out for snakes as it is snake season! Of course, I had the wrong camera with me but that is normal!!
We are expecting three days of 100F or close to it. I mostly plan to stay in the house. I am going to pick blueberries EARLY tomorrow morning and hope be finish picking in half an hour. Last year with both of us picking we had two gallons in about 20 minutes. It takes longer to drive to the farm than it does to pick but the berries are so worth it as they are really good! And organic! They only have u-pick over this weekend as they mostly sell to local stores.
So you know what my blip will be tomorrow!
