Autumn Gold...

I am fairly certain that this tree growing in our garden is a maple. The leaves are large and a glorious shade of gold at this time of the year. We have had a string of balmy sunny days with virtually no frosts. The owner of a garden centre has told us that polyanthus plants are slow to flower this season as the weather has not been cold enough. That may change when winter begins in a week or so.
