Perfect day out?

Lovely weather, so a long bike ride to one of our favourite picnic places. The day was marred by a poor child, a couple of hundred metres away, who had seemingly got into difficulty in the deceptively deep water. She(?) seems to have been rescued by a nearby man who was fixing his boat at the time. We saw the child wrapped up in a blanket before the helicopter arrived (extra); thankfully her legs moved and she started coughing but I heard the rescuer say she had been unconscious when he came to her. It was very distressing to see.
I can't find anything in the news so hopefully she is now recovering.
