Figurehead

It's the Belfast Maritime festival this weekend, it started yesterday and will end tomorrow, so we set off this morning for a visit. This figurehead was on the Mexican Naval training ship, a huge 3 masted tall ship, very impressive. The name is Cvavatemal - I think! I'll add an extra, and see if you decipher the name any better than I can! I found the font very difficult to read.
It was a great morning, there didn't seem to be as many tall ships this year, but there were more Naval vessels, the Penzance from the Royal Navy, the Samuel Beckett from the Irish Navy, and 4 vessels from the French Navy. There was also a tug boat, it had travelled from Liverpool, from the Maritime museum there.
It was good to see so many people there, we followed our usual strategy, arrive early and leave when it's getting busy :-)
