WISTERIA
Had a visit from my Niece and her husband and two children yesterday afternoon from Skipton, which was lovely. Sadly they are camping in Witherslack, their first time!!!! They're hard souls though and have loved it, despite the rain last night, didn't here it apparently. They managed to make a nice curry for them all in the evening.
Whilst here I managed to get loads of colouring pencils, papers and books to keep them occupied for a little while. Then 4, almost 5 year old Alice tells me she loves Paddington. Went to put the films on and darn it but the DVD player was playing up. Couldn't get it work at all. Today however it's working fine aaaaaarrrghhhh!!! Ah well that's the way it goes.
Due to work commitments they've only got the Bank Holiday itself. We looked on the netty thing to find out what they could do today, they can't afford too much and I was astounded at the cost of things to do for families. Brockhole in Windermere was astronimical, to go on the nets, 3 of them (2 children, 1 adult) would have cost over £50!!!
They decided on the Aquarium and a boat trip from Bowness. Then this morning, I remembered as they are members of the National Trust (they are going to Sizergh Castle on Monday on the way home) that Wray Castle is also National Trust and they could get a cheaper boat trip, so that's what they've decided to do, At least it's cleared up for them this afternoon. Problem solved and the weather doesn't bother them at all.
As to me, well just made a small start on sorting out The Study small third bedroom cum junk room, but that's all.
Hope you are all well and having a good Bank Holiday. I'll catch up on your blips later this evening.
The blip is of the wisteria from our balcony. Luckily the back garden and therefore balcony is pretty well sheltered, but I thought I'd blip it before it disappears, as you can see the petals are shedding themselves over the lawn moss and grass already.
Take care all.
