Building bridges, by Lorenzo Quinn (2019)

Since most of the art at the Biennale was dystopian and bleak, it was nice to see this installation with its more positive message on our last day in Venice. There is more about it here.

We started the day by visiting this, then walked to Dorsoduro to see the Peggy Guggenheim collection where there was a show on about Hans Arp. We stopped in the stunning Palazzo Contarini Polignac on the way back for another great show, then took the boat/shuttle to the airport. This was a very special trip for us. Venice is crowded and touristy but there really is no other place like it.
