Unfashionable

You never see spider plants for sale nowadays. I acquired this one recently when I was discussing them with a friend, and he said he had one. So I asked him to save me a baby when it produced, and here it is.
I remember my grandmother used to grow them. She had some sort of plant containers on her wall containing spider plants. They used to produce long straggly shrivelled shoots with baby plants on the end. In the sixties spider plants were fashionable in macrame holders! No macrame here, just a pretty pot.
The sunshine of yesterday has disappeared, it is a dull day with a cool breeze.
