and then there were piglets....
We helped out again at the Accidental Zoo today, this time with the electric fence so that these, ten days old piglets could not roll under the fence. They were a surprise as they had been expecting only two slightly older piglets. The mother pig (called Iris) is amazing and keeps a firm eye on her young. In extra she has made herself a den on higher ground so she can watch them. She is very friendly though and will allow us to touch her babies. I think there are ten in all and they are very cute. There is a runt of the litter who is half the size of the others. Tomorrow is their first open day, they plan three over this summer. We have fingers crossed our son and daughter in law have everything covered. We will be there to help as much as we can.
