Blue and green
Gavin and I went back to Cambridge today, as Gavin wanted to install some blinds for Adam. I had cooked lunch which I took with us, ensuring there was also a large portion at home for Thomas who had stayed home to study.
It was a bit of a frustrating day as Gavin could not install the blinds due to the solid concrete lintel above the window. It all sounded a bit complicated but he has a plan and will try to find new fittings and then return again next weekend to install them. Adam finishes exams next Saturday so he will be able to help Gavin with the blinds next weekend. I managed to assemble some wardrobe inserts of shelves, which was easy enough but fiddly to do.
I wandered off for a walk around Coe Fen, which are meadows in the city where the cows are grazed. I always find it amusing to see cows amongst the bustling activity of a city (see extra). It was sunny but quite windy, and later it did rain a little.
On the way home the Cambridgeshire countryside looked so beautiful with the green fields of barley/wheat. I could not get photos of the scenes I really liked (no where to stop) but this view was taken from somewhere we could stop and is not bad.
