the backside...

...of an orchid

there’s something to be said - about the other side - but for some reason - we have, or let me speak - only for myself - i have a tendency - to usually only shoot the front side - leaving the other side - that beautiful backside - totally forgotten - misrepresented - neglected - abandoned - you get my point

why is that? - as i bent to snap a photo - of the sister warrior orchid - i flashed on a reflection - of its backside and was given pause - i am most certain i haven’t - done it justice here at all - for in that reflection - i noticed a great beauty - wonderful lines of grace - a translucent sheen to its petals of white - a delicate stance as it stood tall - things unnoticeable from the front - of the flower yet we don’t - show off the back - we always turn flowers to face - the front as though making - a grand appearance

here, i merely wanted - to point out the backside - is just as important - has just as many - endearing qualities as the front - and can contribute to it being...
