the beach theme continues...

...once again, the weather has been kinder than expected. Overnight rain came to an end early this morning followed by just the occasional sunny shower until midday.

Having eaten breakfast and opened all our lovely presents, we left my youngest brother and sister-in-law in charge of the turkey (we demolished the goose last night) and went for a pre-Christmas lunch walk on Horton Beach. This is the fourth time that I have blipped the local beach so it is fortunate that it has many different features of interest!

After a huge and immensely delicious meal, L and I walked off the Christmas pud by exploring a higher level footpath to Port Eynon. I wish I had taken a lens with a longer focal length because the sun was radiating from behind the clouds over a distant Lundy Island. With the north Devon coast clearly visible, this is the best visibility we have had since we arrived last Friday...
